With $28 a month, you will help to recognize the God-given value and potential of that individual child. That child will grow up to become a positive influence to bring about lasting changes in his community. Your sponsorship will also enable a needy child to receive an education, medical attention, food supplements, family Support, basic necessities, and Christian Discipleship and Training.

Promote

You have probably already experience the joy of helping a child in poverty through sponsorship. You know how this has changed your own life. You understand the needs of the world in a personal way because you are involved.

But you also know that many of your church friends, family and group members may never have had the opportunity to sponsor a child. Yet a great number of children are waiting for someone to reach out to them with help and hope.

Now you can be a catalyst for changing hearts and changing lives. We will be glad to send you promotional materials to help get your church and friends involved. Join with other sponsors across the world seeking compassionate people to care for children in poverty. We will help you through the step by step promotional event planning. We will show you how to introduce the program to your church, how to receive the necessary tools on your own or through us, and how to create a plan, promote, and host your event.

Volunteer

Coming from all over the world, interns who work with LFM are people of all ages who are looking for an opportunity to be involved in short-term ministry or service within a diverse and supportive Christian community. Volunteer with LFM and put your energy and skills into our community service projects.  You will have a chance to meet new people, learn another language, make new friends, and improve your understanding of another culture. Put your experience to work where it will be deeply appreciated.

Interns raise funds through their local churches and Christian community in order to pay for room and board and administrative expenses during their time of service with LFM.

Potential Interns may apply to serve in one of a variety of areas within LFM programs. Please carefully consider the various opportunities listed below in which you can practically serve the Lord with your skills.  Some volunteer opportunities require special skills and others require simply a serving heart.

Opportunities for volunteer service include, but not limited to:

Child support and Development: This includes helping children write letters to their sponsors, teaching in children Bible clubs, teaching music, dance and drama to children, visiting children’s families, helping with children outreach programs, among others

Teaching: This includes teaching English to pastors and church leaders, teaching at faith Preparatory Academy, teaching special skills like tailoring, sewing, and computers

Support and Development: Opportunities include creative writing like writing proposals, newsletters, reports, and pamphlets, administration, secretarial work, IT support like software development, website management, video recording and editing, graphic design, and computer trouble- shooting.

Training: Opportunities include training church leaders, Sunday school teachers, women in development, and college students in Bible study skills, among others.

Internships

Internships with LFM are for college or university students and beyond. We seek students with outstanding Christian character who are looking for a short-term mission experience and ready to serve the Lord abroad. Interning with us will:

-         challenge you with new opportunities

-         help you to see what God is doing in Africa

-         help you to live with, and  experience a new culture

-         help you grow in your personal relationship with Christ

-         help you to prepare for future ministry
